INSPIRATION

'Royals' takes you into a world where Crowns become hair. The crown which is a symbol of monarchy is showcased in my collecJon showing power strength and a high fashion editorial feel.

Each look is intricately sculptured and hand made with hair in form of hair sheets, weaving, plaits and braids which have been sewn together and have added elements of either leather, wire, plasJc laNce, headphones, pearl beads or gold buOons.

Fascinated by history of haute couture fashion and avant garde, inspiraJon flowed through extensive research from three main areas Crowns, Elizabethan and Baroque which have all come together complimenJng each others style.

Baroques focus of delicate paOern work in beauJful dresses a princess would wear. Hair sculptures are craUed to symbolise crowns and Elizabethan headdresses.

Backdrop specially made for this shoot to give more dimension to the photo to let the use of ornamental elements and vibrant neutral hair tones and rich paOerns stand out.
